Regular Season Round 6: EAU - Kepler 74-92

Another interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Kigali:Kepler (#4) and EAU (#6). EAU was smashed at home by 18 points 74-92 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. Kepler outrebounded EAU 54-35 including a 35-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. Kepler looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by EAU 's players. The former international power forward Elie Kaje (198-1995) had a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Canadian guard Chad Bowie (188-1996, college: SHSU) chipped in 18 points, 9 rebounds and 9 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was Ben Ndayishimiye Cyiza with 20 points and 5 rebounds and South Sudanese swingman Ruai Luak (198-2004) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Kepler maintains fourth position with 2-2 record, which they share with Patriots and EAU.
