Regular Season Round 2: Tigers - Kepler 85-62

Another interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Kigali: Tigers and Kepler. Tigers smashed visiting Kepler by 23 points 85-62. Tigers forced 23 Kepler turnovers and had a 37-26 advantage in offensive rebounds. International point guard Antino Jackson (182-1996, college: N.Mexico) scored 21 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists to lead the charge for the winners and American-Kenyan guard Albert Odero (193-1997, college: Talladega, agency: Olsta) chipped in 25 points during the contest. Odero is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. The former international forward Chandelier Twizeyimama (197-2004) responded with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds and Canadian guard Chad Bowie (188-1996, college: SHSU) scored 10 points and 5 assists. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Tigers' supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Kigali to the arena Patriots.
