Regular Season Round 14: APR - Kepler 79-73

Another interesting game was again a derby match of two local teams from Kigali:APR (#3) and Kepler (#2). APR (14-2) won against visiting Kepler (13-3) 79-73 . It was a key game for the second position in the league. APR forced 22 Kepler turnovers. Mali guard Kamba Diakite (172-1999) notched 37 points (!!!) to lead the effort and international center Assouma Uwizeye (182-1996) supported her with 16 points and 8 rebounds. Even a double-double of 19 points, 8 rebounds and 10 assists by guard Josiane Tcheumeleu did not help to save the game for Kepler . Beninese center Veronica Keita (190-2001) added 21 points and 13 rebounds for the guests. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. APR have an impressive nine-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place. Newly promoted Kepler dropped to the third position with three games lost.
