Regular Season Round 13: REG - Patriots 70-68

The most exciting game of round 14 in the RBL took place in Kigali. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of one of their biggest challengersPatriots (10-6) to second ranked REG (11-3) 70-68 in the game for the second place. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Patriots. REG dominated down low during the game scoring 42 of its points in the paint compared to Patriots ' 22. Point guard Jean Umuhoza (175-2001) scored 20 points and 5 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the former international Prince Muhizi (-1996) chipped in 16 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. REG's coach Ogoh Odaudu used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. International Steven Hagumintwari (198-1993) responded with 22 points and 9 rebounds and American point guard Elliott Cole (180-1994, college: Charleston) scored 28 points. REG have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 11-3 record having six points less than leader APR. Patriots at the other side keep the third place with six games lost.
