The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Kigali:Azomco (#8) and Orion (#6). Azomco (3-11) crushed visiting Orion (5-10) by 17 points 115-98 . Azomco dominated down low during the game scoring 82 of its points in the paint compared to Orion 's 58. Azomco forced 19 Orion turnovers and outrebounded them 63-44 including a 29-9 advantage in offensive rebounds. Azomco looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Richard Bizimungu stepped up with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 20 rebounds for the winners and American guard Damaria Franklin (190-1999, college: Memphis) chipped in 21 points, 6 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals. Azomco's coach Daniel Monibe used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side Kennedy Garba responded with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 20 rebounds and Cameroonian Engelbert Beleck (192-1998) scored 25 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Newly promoted Azomco maintains eighth place with 3-11 record. Orion at the other side dropped to the seventh position with ten games lost.
