Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both ninth rankedGSMRR and 8th ranked Gahini had identical 2-5 record. But Gahini was not able to use a home court advantage and was defeated by the opponent from Cyabingo 66-61 on Sunday night. GSMRR forced 20 Gahini turnovers. The best player for the winners was Rachel Gikundiro (169-2006) who scored 19 points and 9 rebounds. Clementine Murekatete chipped in 19 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals. Center Josephine Uwineza produced a double-double by scoring 14 points, 13 rebounds and 7 assists and Aline Uwimana added 19 points and 11 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Gahini's coach Lambert Ihimbazwe rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. GSMRR (3-5) moved-up to eighth place. Gahini lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the ninth position with six games lost.
