The game in Gahini supposed to be also quite interesting. Fourth rankedAPR (6-2) played at the court of 8th ranked Gahini (2-6). APR smashed Gahini 85-48 on Saturday. APR held Gahini to an opponent 21.9 percent shooting from the field compared to 35.2 percent accuracy of the winners. APR forced 24 Gahini turnovers and outrebounded them 67-41 including a 29-13 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was international center Assouma Uwizeye (182-1996) who had a double-double by scoring 29 points and 17 rebounds. The former international center Charlotte Umugwaneza (195-1984) chipped in a double-double by scoring 27 points and 14 rebounds. Aline Uwimana produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds and Angelique Umutoni added 7 points and 13 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. APR moved-up to third place, which they share with RP-IPRC Huye. Gahini lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the ninth position with six games lost.
