Regular Season Round 4: REG - Kepler 72-71

The most exciting game of round 5 in the RBL took place in Kigali. This derby game ended with only one-point defeat on the road of 4th placedKepler (3-3) to leader REG (6-0) 72-71 on Wednesday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Kepler. REG forced 24 Kepler turnovers. American guard Cleveland Thomas (192-1993, college: WKU, agency: Slash Sports) stepped up and scored 20 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners and Senegalese point guard Jean-Jacques Boissy (183-2000) chipped in 16 points and 5 rebounds. The former international power forward Elie Kaje (198-1995) responded with 9 points, 13 rebounds and 8 assists and Canadian guard Chad Bowie (188-1996, college: SHSU) scored 14 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. REG have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with APR. Kepler at the other side keeps the fourth place with three games lost.
