Regular Season Round 4: Espoir - Patriots 72-84

Another exciting game was again a derby between two local teams from Kigali:Patriots (#3) and Espoir (#7). Espoir was defeated at home 72-84 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. Patriots forced 19 Espoir turnovers. The best player for the winners was center Betoudji Kamndoh who had a double-double by scoring 20 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. American point guard Elliott Cole (180-1994, college: Charleston) chipped in 20 points and 7 assists. Four Patriots players scored in double figures. Center Fortunate Mwanawabene (-1998) produced 23 points and 5 assists and Eric Muhayumukiza (-1995) added 17 points and 9 rebounds respectively for the hosts. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Patriots . They maintain third place with 4-1 record having just three points less than leader APR. Loser Espoir dropped to the eighth position with five games lost.
