Regular Season Round 2: Orion - Kepler 87-81

Another interesting game was a derby match between two teams from Kigali:Orion and Kepler . Orion won against visiting Kepler 87-81 . Orion dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Kepler 's 28. They outrebounded Kepler 46-33 including 17 on the offensive glass. American point guard Jeffery Stubbs (189-1991, college: Jackson St., agency: MSG) orchestrated the victory by scoring 35 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 7 assists. Kennedy Garba contributed with a double-double by scoring 11 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Canadian guard Chad Bowie (188-1996, college: SHSU) replied with 30 points and 4 steals and forward Cyiza Twizeyimana added 15 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Kepler. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
