There was a surprise result in Cairo where eleventh rankedWadi Degla (5-8) edged higher ranked Al Shams (7-5) 57-56 on Saturday. Wadi Degla forced 21 Al Shams turnovers. Strangely Al Shams outrebounded Wadi Degla 58-30 including a 36-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great evening for Menna El Dein who led her team to a victory scoring 13 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Malak Ismael helped adding 13 points. The best for the losing side was Jana Yehia with 9 points and 21 rebounds and Fatema El Gohary scored 13 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Al Shams' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Wadi Degla moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Al Gezira. Loser Al Shams keep the fifth position with five games lost.
