The game in Giza was also quite interesting. Third rankedAlexandria (7-1) played at the court of 7th ranked Shooting (4-4). Alexandria defeated Shooting 64-49 on Tuesday. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Shooting. Alexandria forced 20 Shooting turnovers and outrebounded them 41-27 including 18 on the offensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international forward Hagar Amer (184-1993) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 24 points and 16 rebounds and the former international forward Hala El-Shaarawy (185-1993, college: St.Peter's) who added 8 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists during the contest. Guard Salma Bahgat (164-2002) responded with 11 points, 5 assists and 4 steals and point guard Hana Elgoly (167-2007) scored 12 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Alexandria maintains third position with 7-1 record behind leader Al Ahly. Shooting at the other side dropped to the sixth place with four games lost. They share the position with Heliopolis.
