The game between 14th ranked Petrojet (1-6) and third rankedAl Ahly (7-1) in Cairo on Monday ended with biggest points difference. Guests from Cairo outscored Petrojet 95-71 . They outrebounded Petrojet 41-30 including 26 on the defensive glass. Al Ahly looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. The winners were led by the former international power forward Ahmed Khalaf (211-1999) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 14 points and 13 rebounds and international Amr Alaa Zahran (191-2001) supported him with 17 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Five Al Ahly C. players scored in double figures. Even 19 points by American-Palestinian Kyndall Dykes (192-1987, college: New Orleans, agency: Slash Sports) did not help to save the game for Petrojet . Ayman Chawkat added 17 points and 8 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Defending champion moved-up to second place, which they share with Canal. Newly promoted Petrojet keeps the fourteenth position with six games lost.
