There was a minor upset when 5th rankedRouiba (15-10) was defeated at home by eighth ranked USM Blida (15-10) 53-42 on Friday. USM Blida forced 23 Rouiba turnovers. The former international forward Mousaab Kaoub (194-2003) stepped up and scored 16 points and 7 rebounds for the winners and forward Mohamed Zahaf (193) chipped in 9 points and 9 rebounds. At the losing side center Sid Benzaime (203-2002) responded with 13 points and 9 rebounds and the former international point guard Mohamed Guermat (180-1993) scored 13 points, 5 assists and 5 steals. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. USM Blida have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Rouiba .
