Club Africain signs Makhtar Gueye

Club Africain Tunis (ProA) signed 29-year old Senegalese international power forward Makhtar Gueye (208cm-95kg-1997, college: CBU). He moved there from Al Ittihad in Syrian SBL league where he played this season, but it seems he will not stay with that team after all. He also played for UNIFACISA in Brazilian NBB. In 7 SBL games he had 7.6ppg and 4.3rpg. Gueye has been regularly called to the Senegalese Senior National Team since 2019.
He is a very experienced player. Gueye has played in nine different countries on four different continents (Europe, Latin America, Africa and of course North America). He has played professionally in Brazil, France (Laval), Spain (Menorca), Burundi (Dynamo), Mozambique (Ferroviario Beira), NBA Summer League (Atlanta Hawks), Senegal (ASC Ville de Dakar) and Cameroon (Kadji Sport Academy Douala).
Gueye won the Senegalese League championship title in 2025.
He graduated from California Baptist University in 2021 and is currently in his fifth season as a professional player. Gueye also played for the University of Alabama at Birmingham for 3 years.
