Defending champion U.S. Monastir (ProA) added experienced 34-year old American guard George A. Williams II to their roster. He has a USA-Nigerian passport and stands at 198cm and 95kg. Williams played at Al Ittisalat in the Egyptian Superleague before joining U.S. Monastir. He also played for Sagesse in the Lebanese LBL, where he averaged 11.5ppg, 1.8rpg, and 1.0apg in four Superleague games. Williams also had a brief stint with USM Alger in the Algerian league, putting up impressive stats of 20.2ppg, 2.8rpg, and 2.5apg in 13 Superleague games. Additionally, he played one game in the West Asia Super League and briefly played for Bizon in the Mongolian league.
He's a very experienced player, having played in sixteen different countries across four continents. He's played professionally in Algeria, Argentina, Belize, Chile, Dominican Republic, Iraq, Kuwait, Lebanon, Mexico, Oman, United Kingdom, Venezuela, Kenya, Bolivia, and Canada. He was voted to Asia-Basket.com All-Mongolian League Honorable Mention in 2024.
He won the Omani League championship title in 2021.
He is a very experienced player. His career has taken him to four continents and he has played in sixteen countries. He has played professionally in Algeria, Argentina (Ferro), Belize (Tiger Sharks), Chile (Puerto Varas), Dominican Republic (Reales), Iraq (Al Kahraba and Zakho), Kuwait (Arabi), Lebanon, Mexico (Pioneros Los Mochis and Libertadores), Oman (Al Bashaer), United Kingdom, Venezuela (Marinos), Kenya (Kenya Ports Authority), Bolivia (La Salle and Amistad) and Canada (Highlanders). He was also voted to Asia-Basket.com All-Mongolian League Honorable Mention in 2024.
He is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered the top summer league for players looking to play basketball overseas.
He graduated from Wayland Baptist University in 2012 and it's his 12th season as a pro player. He also played for State Fair Community College for 2 years.
