Arab Basketball Championship: Tunisia beat UAE to clinch third place

Tunisia - UAE 73-66

Tunisia clinched the third position at the Arab Basketball Championship. They overcame United Arab Emirates in the consolation final in Cairo tonight. Omar Abada (189-PG-1993) nailed 24 points, grabbed 8 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners.
UAE led by as many as 6 points ten minutes into the game. But Tunisia responded with a 30-16 run in the third frame to secure a 10-point lead at the final break. UAE limited their opponents to just 15 points in the final stanza but could not avert the loss. Achref Gannouni (194-SG-1997) tossed in 18 points for Tunisia. Qais Alshabebi (200-C-1991) netted 23 points for UAE. DeMarco Dickerson (196-G-1997, college: SHU, agency: One Motive Sports) had 15 points in the defeat.
