Slimane also played for Tunisia in the Afrobasket Championship six years ago, where his team emerged victorious and won the Gold medal. During the tournament, Slimane's individual performance was impressive, with an average of 5.5 points per game, 3.2 rpg, and 1.7 apg. He had a field goal percentage (FGP) of 72.7%, a three-point percentage (3PT) of 23.8%, and a free throw percentage (FT) of 50.0%. He's a highly experienced player, having played in five different countries across three continents. Slimane's professional basketball career has taken him to Europe, Asia, and Africa. He has previously played for teams in Portugal (Barreirense), Saudi Arabia (Al Hilal), UAE, Tunisia (ES Sahel and JS Kairouan), and United Arab Emirates (Al Wasl and Baniyas). In 2023, his team reached the InterContinental Final Four. The list of past achievements is extensive, including being voted AfroBasket.com All-Tunisian League Guard of the Year in 2020. He is nearing retirement age as a player, and it is highly likely that he will conclude his playing career at Sagesse.
