Defending champion US-Monastir (ProA) tabbed 47-year old Cypriot-Greek coach Linos Gavriel. Gavriel coached most recently at Al-Manama in Bahrain league.
He has been coaching Cypriot Senior National Team between 2017 and 2022.
And here thanks to pro basketball he experienced life in four different countries playing on three different continents. Gavriel is familiar with European, Asian and African leagues. He has coached previously in Cyprus (AEK Larnaca, AEL Limassol and APOEL), Greece (Panionios and Larissa BC), Tunisia (ES Rades and Etoile Du Sahel) and Bahrain (Al-Manama). Gavriel won Cyprus A1 championship title in 2008, 2009, 2010, 2016 and the cup in 2003, 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2017, the Tunisian League Champion in 2013, the Arab Club Championship in 2014, the Bahrain championship and cup in 2022.

He was voted as coach of the year in every country he worked.

Coach Gavriel and his team will participate in FIBA Intercontinental Cup in February against BCL Champions, Tenerife and several champions from other contents.
