Traditionally, every week we bring you a list of the top performances of Tunisians who are currently playing abroad.
#1. This week's number one is an experienced former international power forward
Makram Ben Romdhane (205-1989, currently plays in Portugal). He was the major contributor in
Benfica's victory against one of league's weakest teams Sangalhos (0-4) crushing them
99-65 in the Portuguese Liga Betclic in Saturday night's game.
Ben Romdhane scored 15 points and grabbed 9 rebounds in 24 minutes on the court.
Sport Lisboa Benficais placed first in the Liga Betclic.
Ben Romdhane has relatively good stats this year: 10.3ppg, 8.7rpg, 5.3apg, 2.7spg in three games he played so far.
He played for the Tunisian senior national team year ago.
#2. Second place goes to former international point guard
Omar Abada (189-1993, currently plays in Saudi Arabia). Abada led
Al Ittihad to a 2-point victory over the closely-ranked Al Fateh (5-2)
78-76 in the Saudi Arabian SBL last Friday.
He was MVP of the game. Abada recorded 26 points (!!!), 7 assists and 4 steals.
Al Ittihad Jeddah (4-3) is placed fifth in the SBL.
It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row.
There are only four games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical.
Abada has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages: 23.4ppg, 5.4rpg, 6.6apg, 2.1spg, 2FGP: 52.2%, 3FGP: 23.3% and FT: 87.0%.
Abada played for the Tunisian national team in 22.
#3. The Tunisian player who performed third best last week abroad was former international center
Salah Mejri (217-1986, currently plays in Arab Club Championships). He could not help one of league's weakest teams
Jahraa (3-1) in their last game. Despite Mejri's very good performance Jahraa lost
84-88 at home to the leading Beirut Club.
He had a double-double by scoring 19 points and getting 15 rebounds. Mejri also added 4 blocks (made all of his six free throws) in 29 minutes.
The Regular Season already ended in the Arab Club Championships.
This year Mejri's overall stats are: 9.8ppg, 13.6rpg, 1.4apg, 2.6bpg, 1.2spg, 2FGP: 66.7%(12-18), 3FGP: 21.1% and FT: 76.5% in five games.
He played for the Tunisian national team year ago.
#4. Power forward
Mohamed Hadidane (207-1986, currently plays in Arab Club Championships) was not able to help one of league's weakest teams one of league's weakest teams
Al Riyadi in their game against Beirut Club (3-1) in the Arab Club Championships.
Hadidane scored 7 points.
Al Riyadi was defeated
80-76 in a derby game by the leading Beirut Club.
Hadidane's total stats this season are: 5.0ppg, 2.4rpg, 1.6apg and 1.2spg.
He used to play for the Tunisian national team
back in 22.
