ProA Round 14: JS Kairouan lose to C.Africain

Round 14 most important game was a defeat of league's leader JS Kairouan (10-4). They were defeated by third ranked C. Africain (10-4) 65-55 on Saturday night. It ended at the same time the eight-game winning streak of JS Kairouan. It was a key game for the second position in the league. C. Africain moved-up to second place, which they share with US Monastir and JS Kairouan. JS Kairouan will play next round against ES Rades trying to make it back to the top of the standings. C. Africain will try to continue on its current victory against seventh ranked US Ansar on the road.
Bottom-ranked Sfaxien (0-14) is still winless. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their 14th consecutive match to ninth ranked US Ansar (5-9) 95-82. US Ansar moved-up to seventh place, which they share with JS Manazeh. Newly promoted Sfaxien still closes the standings with 14 games lost. US Ansar will play against league's second-placed C. Africain in Tunis in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Sfaxien will play on the road against JS Manazeh (#8) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
The game in Rades was also quite interesting. Second ranked Ezzahra (11-3) played at the court of 5th ranked ES Rades (8-6). Ezzahra managed to secure a 4-point victory 68-64 on Saturday. Ezzahra have a solid three-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader. ES Rades lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with six games lost. Ezzahra will meet at home DSG (#9) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. ES Rades will play against JS Kairouan (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

In the last two games of round 14 JS Manazeh was destroyed by US Monastir on the opponent's court 93-64. DSG unfortunately lost to Stade Nabeulien in a home game 67-73.

US Monastir - JS Manazeh 93-64

Rather expected game when 7th ranked JS Manazeh (5-9) was crushed on the road by fourth ranked US Monastir (10-4) 93-64 on Saturday. Defending champion moved-up to second place, which they share with JS Kairouan and C. Africain. JS Manazeh at the other side keeps the seventh position with nine games lost. They share it with US Ansar. US Monastir will meet Stade Nabeulien (#6) on the road in the next round. JS Manazeh will play against Sfaxien and hope to secure a win.

C. Africain - JS Kairouan 65-55

Sfaxien - US Ansar 82-95
