US Ansar signs Ibrahima Thomas

Union Sportive el Ansar (ProA) signed 33-year old Senegalese ex-international forward Ibrahima Thomas (213-109kg-87, college: Cincinnati). He played most recently at Al Wihdat in Jordanian Premier League. He helped them to make it to the Jordanian Cup Semifinals. Thomas also spent pre-season at Al Nasr in Libyan league that year where in two Africa Basketball League games he had very impressive stats: 21.5ppg, 14.0rpg and 3.0bpg last season.
He also represented Senegal at the Afrobasket Championships in Abidjan (Ivory Coast) seven years ago. Thomas' team won Bronze and his stats at that event were 7 games: 3.0ppg, 3.1rpg.
Thomas is quite experienced player. He has played in eight different countries on four different continents (Europe, Asia, Africa and of course North America). Thomas has played previously professionally in Bahrain, Iran (Azad), Japan (Saitama), Lebanon (Hoops Club), Qatar (Al Sadd), Saudi Arabia (Al Hilal and Al Ittihad), Spain (Caceres Basket) and Tunisia (ES Rades).
He attended University of Cincinnati until 2012 and it will be his ninth season as a professional player.
