Defending champion U.S. Monastir (ProA) landed experienced 35-year old American (has also Dominican passport) point guard Emmanuel Quezada (188-86kg-85, college: USF). He played most recently at 1 De Agosto in Angolan Division I. In 7 Africa Basketball League games, he averaged impressive 16.9ppg, 3.7rpg, 5.3apg, and 1.9spg in the 2018-19 season. Quezada helped them to win the Basketball Africa League championship. He can count that season as a very successful as was selected to Afrobasket.com All-FIBA Africa Basketball League 1st Team.

The previous (2018) summer he played at Tri-State Titans in the U.S. semi-pro league The Basketball Tournament.

Quezada is a very experienced player. And here thanks to pro basketball he experienced life on four different continents. He is familiar with European, Latin American, African, and of course North American leagues. Quezada has played previously professionally also in Brazil (Sao Jose), Dominican Republic (Sameji), and Spain (Joventut and Leon).

He attended the University of San Francisco until 2009 and it will be his twelfth (!!!) season in pro basketball.

Let's have a closer look into Quezada's outlook: A scoring point guard with great personality and leadership, he wants the ball in his hands very often but knows how to use it. Great scorer and a good passer, he can become a star at the top European level. Very quick, he can steal lots of balls at the defensive side, making heavy pressure on the opponents.
