Traditionally, every week we bring you a list of the top performances of Tunisians who are currently playing abroad.
#1. This week's number one is an experienced international swingman
Michael Roll (198-87, college:
UCLA, currently plays in Euroleague). He could not help
Armani Milano (10-10) in their last game. Despite Roll's good performance Armani Milano was badly defeated
88-68 on the road by the leading Anadolu Efes.
He was the second best scorer with 10 points. Roll also added 4 rebounds in 16 minutes on the court.
This year Roll averages: 7.8ppg, 2.5rpg, 1.6apg, 2FGP: 46.0%, 3FGP: 45.3%(29-64) and FT: 90.9% in 20 games he played so far.
He is a naturalized American.
Roll is currently a member of the Tunisian senior national team. Strangely he has never played in Tunisia.
#2. Second place goes to an international power forward
Makram Ben Romdhane (205-89, currently plays in France). Ben Romdhane was the major contributor in a
Provence Basket's victory against one of league's weakest teams Saint-Quentin (4-11)
96-85 in the French ProB (second division) last Saturday.
He scored 16 points and grabbed 6 rebounds.
FOS Provence Basket (5-10) is placed 16th in the ProB.
Ben Romdhane's overall stats this season are: 8.9ppg, 6.7rpg, 2.1apg, 1.5spg, 2FGP: 46.1%, 3FGP: 38.7% and FT: 45.7%.
He is in the roster of the Tunisian senior national team.
#3. The Tunisian player who performed third best last week abroad was an international center
Salah Mejri (217-86, currently plays in Spain). Mejri managed to help Real Madrid in a victory against the league outsider Movil Estudiantes (4-14)
87-72 in a derby game in the Spanish Liga Endesa on Sunday night.
He scored only 2 points in 3 minutes on the court.
Real Madridis placed in the Liga Endesa.
This year Mejri's overall stats are: 3.7ppg, 2.7rpg, 2FGP: 62.5% and FT: 33.3% in three games.
He is also a member of the Tunisian senior national team.
#4. Shooting guard
Mourad El Mabrouk (194-86, currently plays in France) was not able to help
Nantes (9-6) in their last game on Saturday. Despite El Mabrouk's good performance Nantes was crushed
83-49 in Quimper by the second-ranked UJAP.
He scored 10 points and grabbed 5 rebounds.
El Mabrouk's total stats this season are: 9.4ppg, 2.7rpg and 2.0apg.
He is also Tunisian national team player.
#5. International forward
Wassef Methnani (203-98, currently plays college basketball in the States) contributed to
Fairfield's victory against the Saint Peter's University (2-1)
61-51 in the NCAA last Wednesday.
Methnani scored 7 points in only 13 minutes.
The Fairfield University has 2-2 conference record this season.
This year Methnani's total stats are: 4.4ppg and 3.8rpg in 17 games.
He plays currently for the Tunisian national team.
