Defending champion U.S.Monastir (Nationale A) agreed terms with 25-year old Kenyan international center Tom Wamukota (211-105kg-93, college: Wichita State). He played last season at MAS Fes in Moroccan D1 league.
Wamukota was also voted Afrobasket.com All-FIBA AfroCan 1st Team in 2019.
The previous (2018) summer Wamukota played at Aguilas Doradas de Durango (CIBACOPA) in Mexican league where in 8 games he had 7.1ppg and 4.8rpg in 2018 season.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others his team won MVC Regular Season for two years in a row (2015 and 2016). He was called to Kenyan Senior National Team this year.
Wamukota has played previously professionally in Cyprus (Kyrenia) and Nigeria (Eko Kings).
He attended Wichita State until 2016 and it will be his fourth season as a professional player.
