Nabeul crowned champions ! Stade Nabeulien sweeped the final series with three wins over J.S.Kairouan and took home the Tunisian Championship. In a hard-fought game in Kairouan, Nabeul needed the over-time to defeat the hosts 99-89 after a 81-81 score during regular time. With six championships already under their belt, Nabeul sealed the seventh championship thanks to the likes of Amine Rezig (198-G/F-80), Majdi Maalaouli (202-C/F-77) and Mohamed Hdidane (205-F-86). Nabeul wins also the cup ! Stade Nabeulien wins the Tunisian Cup after beating Ezzahra Sport Rades 73-69 in the final. Even though Rades led through most of the game, Nabeul was able to bounce back and led the first time in the game with 3.40 minutes remaining on the clock by one point (68-67) to extend their lead to four point until the final whistle. ESR led by as many as nine points at halftime and even widened the gap to 15 (40-25) but Nabeul's Mohamed Hdidane (205-F-86) who was clearly the best player on the court and Nizar Knioua (189-G-83) together with Naim M'Barek (193-G-79) helped SN to get back into the game and cut short the outside game of Mokhtar Ghayaza (204-C-86) and Dge Dge to lead Nabeul to another title. |
