Tanzania - Eritrea 69:34

Tanzania overcame Eritrea 69-34 at the start FIBA Zone 5 AfroCan qualifiers. They opened the game with an 11-4 run and added an 18-14 rally in the second period. Tanzania pushed the tempo in the second half and posted 22-8 and 18-8 respectively in the third and the last stanzas.
Andrew Musongole stepped up with 15 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists and 6 steals, whilst Sadiki Baraka added 11 points and 5 rebounds. Aron Tesfazghi replied with 10 points in the losing effort.
