Hasheem Thabeet joins Yokohama B-Corsairs

Hasheem Thabeet

Yokohama B-Corsairs (B1 League) agreed terms with 30-year old Tanzanian center Hasheem Thabeet (218-120kg-87, college: Connecticut). The #2 overall 2009 NBA pick who just attended NBA camp with the Milwaukee Bucks signs to play overseas for the first time in his career.

The last time he played at Grand Rapids Drive (NBA D-League) where he averaged 8.6ppg, 6.2rpg, 2.4bpg in 49 games.
In 2009 Thabeet was drafted by Memphis Grizzlies (NBA) as #2 pick overall. He attended University of Connecticut and it will be his ninth season in pro basketball.
