Dlongolo number one in South Africa WBNL for round 8

Precious Dlongolo put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Mpumalanga Rhinos, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 8.
The player had a double-double of 10 points and 32 rebounds, while her team in a lost game to Eagles (#3, 2-2) 43-47. Rhinos maintains the 5th position in their group in the South African WBNL. They are still not able to win a single game in the league yet. Too late to salvage the team, which is currently ranked such low. They already lost 4 games and recorded no victories. Dlongolo has many years of experience at Rhinos, through which she has constantly improved. Precious Dlongolo has solid league stats. She is in league's top in rebounds (7th best: 12.8rpg) and averages impressive 1.3bpg.

The second best player in last round's games was young Snqobile Thwala (2007) of league's leader Tshwane Suns. Thwala had a very good evening with 20 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Of course she led Suns to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Panthers (#4, 1-2) 72-29. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the top position in Group B. Suns consolidated its place in the very top position of the standings. A very good start of the season for her team, which won so far all 3 games without any defeat. Thwala is one of the most experienced players at Suns and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third on the list of top players last round was Ipeleng Nyatlo (1999) of North-West Eagles (#3). Nyatlo scored 16 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. She was a key player of Eagles, leading her team to a 47-43 win against Rhinos (#5, 0-4). Eagles needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams in Group B. Their record at this point is 2 victories and 2 lost games. Nyatlo has a great season in South Africa. After only 4 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in assists with 4.0apg (7th best).

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
