Memani's double-double lands her Player of the Week award

Talita Memani had an amazing evening in the last round for second-ranked Western Cape Mountaineers and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 6.
She had a double-double of 17 points and 13 rebounds, while her team crushed Zebras (#3, 1-1) with 17-point margin 79-62. Mountaineers is placed at 2nd position in South African WBNL. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost that single game earlier this season. Mountaineers will need more victories to improve their 2-1 record. Memani has many years of experience at Mountaineers, through which she has constantly improved. Memani has impressive league stats. She is in league's top in points (9th best: 17.0ppg), rebounds (6th best: 13.0rpg) and averages solid 2.0bpg,5.0spg and 72.7% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Jana Cupedo (F/C) of Kwa-Zulu Marlins. She is former international forward in her first season at Marlins. In the last game Cupedo recorded an impressive double-double of 17 points and 12 rebounds. Bad luck as Marlins lost that game 35-59 to slightly higher-ranked Zebras (#3, 1-1). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the top position in Group A. Marlins still maintains its place in the top 4 of the standings, even despite this loss. 2 lost games are too many considering they did not win any game. Cupedo is one of the most experienced players at Marlins and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to Katlego Nyano of Northern Cape Zebras (#3). Nyano showcased her all-around game by recording 21 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists in the last round. She was a key player of Zebras, leading her team to a 59-35 easy win against #4 ranked Marlins. Zebras needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams in Group A. Their record at this point is 1 victory and 1 lost game. Nyano has a great season in South Africa. After only 2 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 20.5ppg (5th best) and assists with 4.5apg (6th best).
