The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of Zebras (1-1) at the home court on Sunday night. Hosts were defeated by third ranked Mountaineers (2-1) 79-62. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Mountaineers dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Zebras' 36. Mountaineers forced 42 Zebras turnovers and outrebounded them 69-49 including a 30-14 advantage in offensive rebounds. Mountaineers looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a good game for Talita Memani who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 13 rebounds. Nicole Mangondo contributed with 12 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Mountaineers' coach used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Mamotsoari Mofokeng replied with 24 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for Zebras. Defending champion moved-up to second place. Zebras at the other side dropped to the third position with one game lost. They share it with Panthers. Mountaineers will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Zebras will play against Pride and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Katlego Nyano scored 21 points, 6 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals to lead the charge for the winners and Hope Mbele chipped in 7 points and 20 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was the former international power forward Jana Cupedo with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds. Marlins' coach gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. It was the only win of host team this round and in all other games visitors recorded victories. Despite that victory Zebras went down to third position due to points difference, which they share with Panthers. Marlins at the other side still closes the standings with two games lost. They share the position with Pride. Zebras will play against Pride (#5) in the next round. Marlins will have a break next round.
