Mimi Nhlapo had a great game in the last round for top-ranked Free State Warriors, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 4.
The player was the main contributor (30 points, nine rebounds and four assists) to her team's victory, helping them to crush, the league's bottom-ranked team Rhinos (#5, 0-3) with 23-point margin 70-47. It allowed Warriors to take over top position in the South African WBNL. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. But it's just the very beginning of the season and Warriors won both games without losing any. It's too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. In the team's last game Nhlapo had a remarkable 70.0% from 2-point range and got four three-pointers out of 9 attempts. She has many years of experience at Warriors, through which she has constantly improved. Mimi Nhlapo has solid league stats. She is in league's top in points (6th best: 18.0ppg) and averages impressive 3.5spg and 58.8% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was another Warriors' star - Asiphe Matiso. Matiso had a very good evening with a double-double of 15 points and 19 rebounds. Of course together with Nhlapo she helped Free State Warriors with another comfortable win 61-45 over Eagles (#4, 0-1) being unquestionably team leader. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the top position in Group B. Warriors consolidated its place in the very top position of the standings. Her team has extremely good start of the season. They won both games so far. However the season is at the beginning, so everything can happen. They still may lose their high position in the standings. Matiso is one of the most experienced players at Warriors and similarly like Mimi Nhlapo has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third on the list of top players last round was Precious Dlongolo of Mpumalanga Rhinos (#5). Dlongolo scored 4 points and grabbed 11 rebounds (!!!). Despite Dlongolo's great performance the Rhinos lost 47-70 to the league's current leader Warriors (#1, 2-0). But her team cannot count on just a single player as she also needs help of the other teammates. Rhinos can only dream about fighting for top spots in Group B. They have awful season losing so far all 3 games. Dlongolo has a very solid season. In 3 games in South Africa she scored 2.3ppg.
