Host teams show no mercy winning all games. Here is the last round review presented by LBM Management.
The game had a very big importance for third-ranked Warriors as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Warriors defeated their close opponent Eagles in Bloemfontein 61-45. Warriors held Eagles to an opponent 22.2 percent shooting from the field compared to 32.9 percent accuracy of the winners. Warriors forced 26 Eagles turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of Asiphe Matiso who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 15 points, 19 rebounds and 4 assists and Fatimah Chiliza who added 6 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists during the contest. At the losing side Tshepo Mokua responded with 18 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Eagles at the other side still closes the standings with one game lost. They share the position with Marlins. Eagles will play next round against strong Panthers trying to get back on the winning streak. Warriors will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game.
Top-ranked Warriors blasted bottom-ranked Rhinos (0-3) in Bloemfontein 70-47 keeping the perfect record after 4 rounds. Rhinos is still unable to win any game. The winners were led by Mimi Nhlapo who scored that evening 30 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals and Fatimah Chiliza supported her with 13 points, 5 assists and 8 steals. Even 15 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals by Anele Chitlango did not help to save the game for Rhinos. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Warriors (2-0) keep a position of league leader. Rhinos at the other side still closes the standings with three games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
