Talita Mamani gets MVP of the Week award for South African WBNL

Talita Mamani had an amazing evening in the last round for Western Cape Mountaineers and that's her to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 11.
The had the game-high 19 points adding nine rebounds and two assists for WC Mountaineers in her team's victory, helping them to outclass, the league's bottom-ranked team M.Rhinos (#6, 0-4) with 79-point margin 106-27. WC Mountaineers maintains the 3rd position in their group in the South African WBNL. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost that single game earlier this season. WC Mountaineers will need more victories to improve their 2-1 record. In the team's last game Mamani had a remarkable 53.3% from 2-point range. She turned to be WC Mountaineers' top player in her first season with the team. Mamani has impressive league stats. She is in league's top in points (5th best: 14.3ppg) and averages solid 2.3bpg and 3.3spg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was another WC Mountaineers' star - Precious Nongwenda. Nongwenda impressed basketball fans with 11 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists. Of course together with Mamani she helped Western Cape Mountaineers with another comfortable win outscoring M.Rhinos (#6, 0-4) 106-27. WC Mountaineers' 3rd position in Group A has not changed. Her team's 2-1 record is not bad at all. Nongwenda is a newcomer at WC Mountaineers and it seems she did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.

The third best performed player last round was another WC Mountaineers' star - Nicole Mangondo. Mangondo showcased her all-around game by recording 13 points, 11 rebounds (!!!) and 5 assists in the last round. She was another key player of Western Cape Mountaineers, helping her team with a 106-27 easy win against M.Rhinos (#6, 0-4). WC Mountaineers needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams in Group A. Their record at this point is 2 victories and 1 lost games. Mangondo has a great season in South Africa. After only 2 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 13.5ppg (6th best) and rebounds with 11.5rpg (9th best).
