The game had a very big importance for second-ranked MBB as it allowed them to take a leadership position. MBB smashed bottom-ranked Rhinos at home 103-22. MBB held M.Rhinos to an opponent 18.2 percent shooting from the field compared to 39.8 percent accuracy of the winners. MBB forced 58 M.Rhinos turnovers and outrebounded them 66-43 including a 33-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when MBB made 9 blocks. 26 personal fouls committed by M.Rhinos helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for Phindile Nkosi who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 31 points and 15 rebounds. Danisa Chauke contributed with 15 points and 24 rebounds for the winners. Patient Malungana answered with 3 points and 18 rebounds for M.Rhinos. MBB have a solid series of three victories in a row.
