WBNL Round 10: WC Mountaineers defeat Soweto P.

There are only two more rounds left in the Regular Season in WBNL. Here is the last round review presented by LBM Management.

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Soweto P. (3-2) in Johannesburg on Sunday night. Hosts were defeated by WC Mountaineers (4-1) 68-59. It was a key game for the top position in the league. WC Mountaineers forced 41 Soweto P. turnovers. Strangely Soweto P. outrebounded WC Mountaineers 53-39 including a 39-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. 24 personal fouls committed by Soweto P. helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of Chauness Goliath who helped to win the game recording 16 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Talita Memani contributed with 12 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. WC Mountaineers' coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Danja Lunnemann replied with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds for Soweto P.Defending champion keeps a position of league leader. Soweto P. at the other side dropped to the second place with two games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
An interesting game for Limpopo P. (3-1) which hosted in 4th ranked FS Warriors (1-3). Second ranked Limpopo P. had an easy win 65-30. Lufuno Mutungutungu had a double-double by scoring 14 points and 13 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Nthabiseng Tsweleng chipped in 16 points and 5 assists during the contest. At the losing side Fatimah Chiliza responded with 3 points and 7 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Limpopo P. have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 3-1 record behind leader WC Mountaineers. FS Warriors at the other side keep the fourth place with three games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.

An interesting game for Limpopo P. (3-1) which hosted in 4th ranked FS Warriors (1-3). Second ranked Limpopo P. had an easy win 65-30. Limpopo P. held FS Warriors to an opponent 16.9 percent shooting from the field compared to 45.3 percent accuracy of the winners. Limpopo P. forced 25 FS Warriors turnovers and outrebounded them 55-38 including a 43-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. Lufuno Mutungutungu had a double-double by scoring 14 points and 13 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Nthabiseng Tsweleng chipped in 16 points and 5 assists during the contest. At the losing side Fatimah Chiliza responded with 3 points and 7 rebounds and Mpho Khampepe scored 5 points and 6 rebounds.
