Siphiwe Chitlango put on an amazing game in the last round for league's best team Soweto P. and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 7.
She had a double-double of 19 points and 12 rebounds, while her team outclassed, the league's bottom-ranked team NC Zebras (#5, 0-1) with 26-point margin 76-50. It allowed Soweto P. to take over top position in the South African WBNL. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost that single game earlier this season. Soweto P. has a very solid 3-1 record, but they cannot be too comfortable about keeping top position. Chitlango just recently signed at Soweto P., being already a very valuable addition to the team. Chitlango has impressive league stats. She is in league's top in points (5th best: 14.8ppg), rebounds (8th best: 10.8rpg), assists (6th best: 3.0apg) and averages solid 3.0spg.
Second best performed player last round was Rachel Ngona of M.Rhinos. She is a in her first (recently joined) season at M.Rhinos. In the last game Ngona recorded impressive double-double of 21 points and 13 rebounds. It was enough for M.Rhinos to edge slightly higher-ranked Tshwane S. (#3, 1-1) by 6 points 43-37. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the top position in Group A. M.Rhinos consolidated its place in top 4 of the standings. Her team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 1-2 record. Ngona is one of the most experienced players at M.Rhinos and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 16.3ppg (#4). She also registered 9.0 boards per game.
Third place about best performers goes to Mamotsoari Mofokeng of NC Zebras (#5). Mofokeng scored 22 points and grabbed ten rebounds. Despite Mofokeng's great performance NC Zebras lost 50-76 to the higher-ranked Soweto P. (#1, 3-1). But her team cannot count on just a single player as she also needs help of the other teammates. The season just started for Mofokeng as she played only first game. But it already looks like she can be team's leader.

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
