Corinne Moussi had an amazing evening in the last round for league's leader WC Mountaineers and that's her to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 6.
The had a double-double of 31 points and eleven rebounds, while her team outclassed, the league's bottom-ranked team M.Rhinos (#6, 0-2) with 31-point margin 78-47. It allowed WC Mountaineers to jump to the first place in the South African WBNL. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. But it's just the very beginning of the season and WC Mountaineers won both games without losing any. It's too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. In the team's last game Moussi had a remarkable 77.8% from 2-point range. She turned to be WC Mountaineers' top player in her first season with the team. Moussi has impressive league stats. She is league's best scorer averaging so far 26.5ppg. Moussi is in league's top in rebounds (5th best: 12.0rpg), assists (3rd best: 4.0apg) and averages solid 4.0spg and 76.5% FGP.
The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was another WC Mountaineers' star - Talita Memani. Memani impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 17 points and 10 rebounds. Of course together with Moussi she helped WC Mountaineers with another comfortable win outscoring M.Rhinos (#6, 0-2) 78-47. This victory allowed WC Mountaineers to move up to 1st position in Group A. Her team has extremely good start of the season. They won both games so far. However the season is at the beginning, so everything can happen. They still may lose their high position in the standings. Memani is a newcomer at WC Mountaineers and it seems she did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 13.0ppg (#6). She also registered 8.0 boards per game.
The third best performed player last round was international swingman Pumla Sathula (175-G/F-1984) of Tshwane S. (#3). Sathula showcased her all-around game by recording 14 points, fourteen rebounds (!!!) and four assists in the last round. She was a key player of Tshwane S., leading her team to a 48-39 win against #2 ranked Soweto P. in a game of the week. Tshwane S. has a very good start of the season. But there was just one game played, so it's too early to judge them at this stage. Sathula also has a very good start of the season with very strong stats. The season just started for Sathula as she played only first game. But it already looks like she can be team's leader.

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
