Tshwane S. maintains second position with 3-1 record behind leader WC Mountaineers. Loser FS Warriors still closes the standings with four games lost. They share the position with Mpumalanga R.. KZ Marlins - NW Eagles 44-42 Important game to mention about took place in Kwazulu. Third ranked KZ Marlins (2-2) saved a 2-point victory at home edging their close opponent NW Eagles (1-3) 44-42 in the game for the third place. KZ Marlins maintains third position with 2-2 record having just two points less than leader WC Mountaineers, which they share with Soweto P. and Eastern Cape W. NW Eagles at the other side dropped to the fourth place with three games lost. FS Warriors - KZ Marlins 45-59 Rather expected game in Bloemfontein where bottom-ranked FS Warriors (0-4) were defeated by third ranked KZ Marlins (2-2) 59-45 on Sunday. KZ Marlins maintains third position with 2-2 record having just two points less than leader WC Mountaineers, which they share with Soweto P. and Eastern Cape W. Egoli M. - Limpopo P. 49-35 There was a change at the WBNL leadership position after last games. The most important game of round 8 took place in Johannesburg between two undefeated teams where Egoli M. beat Limpopo P. (4-1) 49-35 on Sunday night. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Limpopo P.. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Egoli M. have a solid four-game winning streak. Defending champion (4-0) keeps a position of league leader, which they share with WC Mountaineers. Limpopo P. at the other side dropped to the second place with one game lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by WC Mountaineers. Limpopo P. will have a break next week, which should allow them to rest and make it back to the top of the standings.
