Egoli Magic clinched their 6th BNL title, setting a new benchmark as the most successful team in league history. Yanick Kasilembo had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 13 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Cameroonian swingman Dylan Lele (193-1997) chipped in 16 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Guard Marcus Mokwena (-1988) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds and Innocent Kwago scored 7 points and 9 rebounds.

Storm Gilchrist, 20-year old South African forward from the runner-up team Kwa-Zulu Marlins, picked up the Player of the Year at the Basketball National League. He graduated from the Temple College recently. Gilchrist received multiple other awards, was named the Defensive Player of the Year, Domestic Player of the Year, Best Prospect of the Year, and was voted to the First Team, Domestic Players Team and Defensive Team. He averaged over 14 points per game in the league. Gilchrist was the Player of the Week honoree in the league. He led the BNL in rebounds per game with over 16. Gilchrist recorded double-doubles in 4 games during the event. His 20 points against the Pride were the most he scored in the 2025 season. Marcus Mokwena, 36-year old guard from the champion team Tshwane Suns, was voted the Finals MVP of Basketball National League. He collected multiple other honors, was selected to the First Team and Domestic Players Team and Defensive Team. Mokwena helped Mokwena's team have an undefeated season as champion team Tshwane Suns was not challenged in the league with a perfect 4 to 0 in the regular season. North Team overcame South counterparts 68-64 in the 2025 BNL All Star Game. Siphumle Qanya (182-PG-1993) came up with 16 points to pace the winners.
North jumped off to an 18-8 lead after ten minutes. South bounced back in the second term. They eked out a 33-30 halftime advantage. The teams exchanged baskets throughout the third period as the teams entered the fourth frame tied at 51. North Team went on a strong rally in the final quarter and snatched a narrow win at the end. Kwazi Gumede (191-G/F-1997) posted 14 points for the winners. Sun Kalaya and Michael Masoko replied with 12 points each for the South Team.
