Sylla re-signs at Challans

Vendee Challans Basket (ProB) confirmed in their roster experienced 36-year old Seychellois ex-international center Abdel Kader Sylla (204cm-1990) for the upcoming 2026-27 season. He played there last season. In 37 ProB games, he had 5.4ppg, 3.9rpg, and 1.4apg. He also played for another French team Chorale de Roanne earlier that season. Sylla was a member of the Seychellois Senior National Team back in 2011.
He is quite an experienced player. Sylla has played between Switzerland (Union Neuchatel Basket), France (Pau Lacq Orthez, Nantes, Monaco, Tours, and Sluc Nancy), Switzerland, and Seychelles (Cobras).
His team won the French ProB Leaders Cup in 2020. He is close to retirement age as a player. It's very possible that he may end his playing career at Challans.
