Awa Fane transfers to Stony Brook

Stony Brook University signed Senegalese 5-8 guard Awa Fane for the upcoming season. She hails from Thies and is transferring from Mississippi State University, where she played for one year. Last season, she averaged 3.2ppg and 1.0rpg in 22 games.
She played at Panola College between 2024-25. Fane was voted to the WBCA Two-Year College All-Americans Team in 2025.
