Gran Canaria tabs Cierra Dillard

Spar Gran Canaria (LF Endesa) inked 29-year old American (has also Senegalese passport) 176cm guard Cierra Dillard (college: Buffalo, agency: LBM Management). She already started the season at Ormanspor in Turkish KBSL. In 5 games she averaged 6.2ppg, 3.0rpg and 2.0apg.
In 2019 she was drafted by Minnesota Lynx (WNBA) in second round (20th overall).
The former University of Buffalo star is in her seventh season in pro basketball. She has been regularly called to the Senegalese Senior National Team since 2023.
Dillard is a very experienced player. She has quite traveled the world as her pro career brought her to seven different countries on five different continents (Europe, Asia, Australia, Africa and of course North America). Dillard has played professionally in Australia (Tigers), Finland (Tapiolan Honka), Israel (Hapoel Kfar Saba), Saudi Arabia (Capital), Turkey (Cankaya, Yalova Vip and Bogazici), Spain (Casablanca) and Egypt (Sporting, Al Ahly, Somouha and Al Ittihad).
Among many awards she won FIBA African Women Basketball League championship title in 2023. She was also voted to Eurobasket.com All-Turkish TKBL Guard of the Year back in 2022. Dillard played also for University of Massachusetts for 2 years.
