Yacine Diop

During the previous season (2023-24), Yacine Diop played at Alexandria Sporting Club in the Egyptian league. She was the top scorer at Yalova Vip in the Turkish TKBL last season, averaging 21.9ppg, 10.1rpg, 3.0apg, 2.5spg, and 1.0bpg in 27 games. Al-Hala Muharraq (Premier League) signed the 30-year-old Senegalese international 178cm swingman for the Arab Clubs Championships

It was a very successful season for her as she was voted to Eurobasket.com Turkish TKBL All-Imports Team, League Player of the Week (2 times), and Eurobasket.com All-Turkish TKBL Third Team.

She has also been a member of the Senegalese international program for some years. Diop has regularly played for the Senegalese senior team since 2018 and previously for the Under 18 National Team in 2012.

She is a very experienced player, thanks to pro basketball she experienced life in four different countries playing on three different continents. Diop is familiar with European, African, and of course North American leagues. She has played professionally also in France (Charnay), Russia (Enisey), and Spain (Estepona).

Diop played in the final of the Egyptian League in 2024.

She graduated from the University of Louisville in 2020 and it will be her sixth season in pro basketball. Diop played also for the University of Pittsburgh for 4 years.
