Hungary - Senegal 61-63

Senegal opened win count at the 2026 World Cup Pre-Qualifying Tournament in Kigali. They held off Hungary in the opener. Ndioma Kane (188-F-1999) came up with 16 points and 6 rebounds for the African team.
Senegal sank 20 points in the first period to take a 4-point lead. The African powerhouse stayed in charge throughout the second stanza. Senegal recorded a 37-30 halftime lead. Hungary stiffened defensively in the third stanza. They held Senegal to just 7 points in the period to pull within just 2 points at the final break. Senegal strongly entered the fourth frame boosting the lead to double digits 52-42. Hungary however managed to pull within 2 points 56-58 late in regulation. Reka Lelik (181-G-1999) put Hungary within one point 59-60 with 13 seconds remaining. Ndioma Kane though sank 3 free throws in response and effectively sealed the win for Senegal. Cierra Dillard (176-G-1996, college: Buffalo, agency: LBM Management) delivered 14 points for the winners. Debora Dubei (184-SF-1997) answered with 24 points for Hungary.
