Tindastoll lands Oumoul Sarr

Oumoul Sarr

U.M.F. Tindastoll (Division I) signed 40-year-old Senegalese international 190cm power forward Oumoul Sarr for the new season. She last played at Freseras in the Mexican LNBPF, where she averaged 5.9ppg, 3.3rpg, 2.6apg, and 1.1bpg in 8 games. Prior to that, she played in the Turkish league and Turkish KBSL, averaging 8.5ppg, 6.2rpg, 3.7apg, and 1.3spg in 26 games.
Sarr represented Senegal at the World Championships (FIBA World Cup) in Tenerife (Spain) six years ago. During this event, she scored an average of 9.5 ppg and had 3 rpg.
She is a very experienced player. Sarr has played professionally in Belgium (Castors Braine), France (Tarbes), Poland (Torun), Spain (Barcelona, IDK Euskotren, Ferrol and Girona), Turkey, and Ecuador (Santa Maria).
Among many awards, she played in the final of the Belgian League in 2023. She received the Latinbasket.com All-Ecuadorian Liga Femenina Player of the Year award and the Latinbasket.com All-Ecuadorian Liga Femenina Import Player of the Year award back in 2018. Sarr is close to retirement age as a player. It may be one of the last seasons in her extensive career, which she may end at Tindastoll.
