Fordham University strengthened their roster with addition of Senegalese 6-4 center Aminata Ly for season 2023-24. Dakar native played for the last four years at Cleveland State University. But in 29 games she recorded just 2.0ppg and 2.5rpg last season. Ly's team ended regular season as a second best place in Horizon League and CSU won Horizon League Tournament this year. Her team also won WBI Championship in 2021. Vikings made it to the Horizon League Tournament Semifinals in two consecutive years: 2020 and 2021.
Ly graduated Greenforest McCalep Christian Academy (Decatur, GA) in 2019.
