Amotoe's double-double lands him Player of the Week award

27-year old Ghanian James Amotoe (1998) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for United Generation Basketball Kigali and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 18.
He had a double-double of 34 points and 12 rebounds, while his team lost the game against APR (#2, 10-1) 84-103. UGB maintains the 5th position in Rwandan league. UGB is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. But it was their 7th lost game this season out of 14 games. In the team's last game Amotoe had a remarkable 59.1% from 2-point range. He turned to be UGB's top player in his first season with the team. Amotoe has impressive league stats. He is league's best scorer averaging so far 26.4ppg. Amotoe is in league's top in assists (7th best: 4.5apg) and averages solid 2.2spg and 53.1% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Chad Bowie (188-G-1996) of Kepler BBC Kigali. He is Canadian guard in his first (recently joined) season at Kepler. In the last game Bowie recorded an impressive 32 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Bad luck as Kepler lost that game 84-113 to the higher-ranked APR (#2, 10-1). Kepler managed to keep the same 6th spot in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 5-8 record. Bowie is one of the most experienced players at Kepler and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 16.6ppg (#6). His other stats are also decent: 5.6rpg and 6.2apg.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Chingka Garba (201-F-2001) of league's leader Patriots Basketball Club Kigali. Garba scored 22 points and grabbed 19 rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Patriots, leading his team to a 100-85 easy win against #4 ranked Tigers in a game of the week. Patriots confirms their top position in the standings. Their record at this point is 11 victories and 3 lost games. Garba has a great season in Rwanda. After 14 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 11.2rpg (3rd best). He also has 2.2bpg and a FGP of 52.7%. Chingka Garba has also Rwandan passport and can play in the league with a status of domestic player.
