Traore's double-double lands her Player of the Week award

20-year old DR Congolese center Aichata Traore (185-C-2005) had a great game in the last round for Kepler BBC Kigali and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 9.
She had a double-double of 19 points and 10 rebounds, while her team outclassed The Hoops (#5, 4-3) with 29-point margin 91-62. Kepler maintains the 3rd position in Rwandan D1. They would have been even better if they did not have these two lost games earlier in Regular Season. Kepler will need more victories to improve their 5-2 record. In the team's last game Traore had a remarkable 61.5% from 2-point range. She turned to be Kepler's top player in her first season with the team. Traore has impressive league stats. She is in league's top in points (2nd best: 16.5ppg) and averages solid 1.2bpg.

Second best performed player last round was Feza Ebengo (185-F-1999) of The Hoops Kigali. She is DR Congolese forward in her first season at The Hoops. In the last game Ebengo recorded an impressive 18 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists. Bad luck as The Hoops lost that game 62-91 to slightly higher-ranked Kepler (#3, 5-2). This loss caused The Hoops to drop to 5th position in the standings. Her team lost some distance to top teams. But a 4-3 record is not bad and everything may still change. Ebengo is one of the most experienced players at The Hoops and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 14.7ppg (#3). Her other stats are also decent: 13.8rpg and 3.5apg.

Third place about best performers goes to another Kepler's star - center Assouma Uwizeye (182-C-1996). Uwizeye scored 11 points and grabbed 11 rebounds (!!!). She was another key player of Kepler BBC Kigali, helping her team with a 91-62 easy win against slightly lower-ranked The Hoops (#5, 4-3). Kepler needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 5 victories and 2 lost games. Uwizeye has a great season in Rwanda. After only 6 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 9.0rpg (8th best).
