Feza Ebengo gets MVP of the Week award for Rwandan D1

DR Congolese Feza Ebengo (185-F-1999) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for The Hoops Kigali and that's her to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 8.
The 26-year old forward had a double-double of 15 points and 15 rebounds, while her team crushed, the league's bottom-ranked team GSMRR (#8, 0-6) with 17-point margin 63-46. The Hoops maintains the 4th position in Rwandan D1. They would have been even better if they did not have these two lost games earlier in Regular Season. The Hoops will need more victories to improve their 4-2 record. In the team's last game Ebengo had a remarkable 71.4% from 2-point range. She just recently signed at The Hoops, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Ebengo has impressive league stats. She is in league's top in points (3rd best: 14.0ppg), rebounds (2nd best: 14.8rpg) and averages solid 2.6bpg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young international shooting guard Cecile Nzaramba (SG-1993) of RP-IPRC Huye. Nzaramba impressed basketball fans with 6 points, 14 rebounds and 3 assists. Bad luck as RP-IPRC Huye lost that game 44-53 to slightly higher-ranked Azomco (#5, 3-3). RP-IPRC Huye is still second from the bottom in the standings. 5 lost games are too many comparing to just two victories RP-IPRC Huye managed to get this year. Nzaramba is well-known by RP-IPRC Huye fans and she already established her position as one of team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last round was international center Jane Dusabe (C-2005) of second-ranked APR BBC Kigali. Dusabe scored 10 points and grabbed 9 rebounds. She was a key player of APR, leading her team to a 92-44 easy win against Gahini (#7, 0-5). APR needs these victories very badly if they think about taking over top position in the standings. Their record at this point is 5 victories and 2 lost games. Dusabe has a very solid season. In 7 games in Rwanda she scored 10.6ppg.
